This company from the pharmaceutical sector wanted an application for disinfecting its process water. The aim of the setup was to bring the microbiological contamination before sterilisation (bioburden) under control.
From dosing pump to fully automatic system with maintenance contract
In addition to solving the disinfection problem, this company also expected complete quality assurance of the process.
On top of our standard quality assurance, we also provided the IQ (Installation Qualification) and OQ (Operational Qualification) of the equipment, an extensive calibration test and a maintenance contract. Everything guaranteed for GMP.
Initially, we started here with our ready-to-use Diox Forte. This is a simple installation with manually controlled dosing pumps. The bioburden was quickly under control with this setup and the results stable.
Six months later, the Konax® Prodis was installed to fine-tune the disinfection of the process water even further and to further unburden the customer. With the Konax Prodis, the entire disinfection process is now automatically controlled and monitored via a platform. An inline chlorine dioxide sensor was also built in to closely monitor the process. In the event of a deviating value, the disinfection process is immediately stopped as a precaution to exclude any risk.
A maintenance contract was concluded here and all interventions are carried out by the technical team of Konax.
