Diox Forte is used for two applications:
1. cleaning the reactor via CIP between 2 batches
2. as an addition to the process water

At this production facility, a global player in the filling of private labels and contract manufacturing, household products are filled. The products are used both privately and professionally and must meet the highest quality standards. Guaranteeing a completely germ-free filling is therefore paramount.
Previously, sodium hypochlorite was used at this facility, resulting in corrosion and leaking pipes. Since using Diox Forte at a dose 10 times lower than the dose used with sodium hypochlorite, this producer notices that no more corrosion of the pipes occurs because the aggressive chlorine in the water has been eliminated. An additional advantage is that the biofilm in the pipes has been completely removed, which means that microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) no longer occurs either. No more leaking pipes!
It started with an application on the rinse water line with Diox Forte. In a second phase, the borehole water that serves as an ingredient for their end product was also disinfected. A separate protocol was validated for both applications.
Over time, these two "manual" solutions were replaced by two rented Konax® Prodis units. The rental formula, which includes the online monitoring platform, provides complete peace of mind for the customer.
An additional reason for this producer to continue with Diox Forte is its pH and temperature independence. These can vary depending on the water used, but when using Diox Forte the dosing does not need to be adjusted accordingly.
